  well first you go to stylist arena on the map page and click the "exchange" button on the bottom. After, u can exchange ur silver coins for the thing u need

  You can go to the Stylist Arena and compete. You get gold regardless if you win or lose, also enter in the competition and you can gain gold from voting (just hit the little gift icon at the bottom), and if you've unlocked Decomposition under the Recipe Workshop it'll give you coins for decomposing items. Achievements will give you coins too and I can't really think of anything else

  Ok so first go to the stylists arena. I'm not sure if you've unlocked it though. If you have it then go there and tap exchange near one of the corners or edges of the screen. Then you will see the starlight shop and your starlight coins. Each recipe costs certain amounts of starlight coins. Hopefully you can buy yours!

  The clothes you buy with starlight coins are just recipes. You have to make the clothes by obtaining a bunch of clothes and other items to put together in the recipes.

  You have to pay for it. Click on the clothes and they will bring you into the store of dtarlight. Now, exchange the recipe with arena coins

  Ah lol AnimLover098 is talking about the "materials" item that you need to use to customize stuff. Mostly you get it from decomposing clothes, it's much much cheaper than spending starlight coins to buy it. You can acually sell material for 2 coins each.
