Yes you do :O when you decompose, it's like recycling/trash them. You get energy towards a chest that opens every 100 items you decompose. You also get crafting materials from decomposing 3/4/5/6 heart clothes respectively. These can be used to craft special items :D need more help, just ask

Oh! I recently replayed and got an S. (partially because I got more clothes) I have some of my boosts upgraded to so that helps. The timing of boosts count to. I usually cast mine a split second after they cast theirs so I know when to shield and stuff. Also try not to use critical eye as the last spell because it has a wind up and it'll boot you out before it actually goes into affect. I try to use smile because it works instantly. Each "person" (level) use the same boost every time, its just that the order sometimes differs. For me I just used smile, critical eye, picky immune and charm. Hope this helps :D

For the stylists arena, stuff doesn't need to look good (coats can be too small for the dress or gloves cover your bracelet etc.) It's judged on a technical level by robots! Just put on a lot of stuff that matches the theme! Worse scenario is you fail. You still get star coins and you don't get demoted out of your rank so no biggie ;)

The items have levels you need to play for them to randomly drop. The photo tells you what level to play for that item.
