No reliable formula. It varies quite a bit, but here is the general trend. The 2nd scene in a chapter requires the fewest flowers, usually 70-85. The 3rd scene needs about 100-170 more than the 2nd, the 4th scene 70-100 more than that, and the 5th scene about 130-170 more than that. Moving to the next chapter is about the same as the 5th scene. In general each chapter will require 1500-1750 flowers, and it does not steadily go upward, but rather up and down. Hope that helps.
