Yes, there is a score multiplier bonus bar within each round you play. Absolutely, if you can play fast and keep that bonus multiplier up, that is the best way to use fewer badges. But if you're like me, and can't keep that bonus bar up, especially when there are lots of objects hidden, then going a bit slower at an even pace to maintain that bonus bar will really help.

I have to say, as there is no Club Mysteries comp running at the moment, I'm doubting myself if the bonus bar actually has a multiplier or not. If I'm wrong I apologise. However, regardless whether there is a multiplier or not, you stil get more points the faster you find each object, and so potentially need less badges to finish the sector.

I have found that for Club Mysteries the bonus bar will always speed up as you find objects regardless of how fast you find them. For example, let's say you have 10 items to find - the bonus bar will be slow for the first 2 or 3 objects, then speeds up as you find more objects. As you say, it is important to keep that bonus bar, but it is also helpful to objects as quickly as possible, and click on the middle of them, to gain maximum points as this can get you an extra percentile, and possibly save you some badges at the end. And don't forget, the bonus bar goes from x5 to x2 (or maybe even down to x1, not sure), so the faster you find an object the more points you will get.
Ashley - for 1-step sectors and the 1st step in multiple step sectors, I get 11% on the first go, then 12% on each of the next 5 go's (taking the progress to 71%), at which point it introduces new objects, and if you can find them all without losing the bonus bar you will get 15% (or possibly 16%) for each one, allowing you to complete the step in 8 go's. If you are quick on the middle 5 go's you could possibly get 13% for one of them. On a 2nd step of a 2- or 3-step sector you are aiming for 8% progress per go, sometimes 9% if you are quick enough, but you will almost certainly get a few 5%, 6% and 7% go's, just try to keep those to a minimum. I can pretty much always (unless it costs 15 badges per go) complete 2-step sectors within the 300+ (maximum) badges you accumulate. If you do run out of badges for a 2-step sector you usually still have enough time left to go accumulate a few more badges to finish it off before the time runs out. Work out how many more you need and only get that amount so as not to waste time. For 3-step sectors you will always need to spend diamonds to complete the 3rd sector, so consider whether it is worth doing the 3-step sectors. Finally, if you don't have enough active members to get the 2nd clue, consider if it is really worth spending diamonds to complete sectors.
I am a member of Aussie Pride. I'm not Australian, and neither are many others. We always get the 2nd clue, but the 3rd one is out of reach for us. If you are an active member and would like to join a more active team I'm sure you would be most welcome.

I have been playing for a long time and I had no idea that it was beneficial to find the items from left to right. Thank you for posting this.
Do you know if this is helpful to increase scores and percentages for special events (especially for the 2nd and 3rd clue). It is crazy how many badges it takes to finish those. I always have to waste a bunch of diamonds on that event. I am not a fan of that game! We don’t have enough active members to compete the 110.
    Thanks

One, I hate we don’t get to keep the badges for the next game. Two, it disgusts me that the amount needed per scene keeps going up! It should be the same 13 that we can only earn, no more than that.

I agree with Terry's general estimate of badges needed. Here's a chart using those numbers. Right after I start a sector, especially a 3-phase sector, I like to ask for backup from my teammates, so I can have the time to study the scene to play faster, thus needing fewer plays and spending less badges. From my chart, a 1-phase sector that costs 12 badges per play, you'll need ~108 badges, 2-phase need ~264 badges, 3-phase need ~504 badges. You can also see the gradual badge increase, the more sectors you play.

    The badges per play continually increase. Going from memory, Something like 9 11 12 12 13 13 13 14 14 14 15 15 15 16 ...
Total Badges needed will depend upon the number of "phases" (1,2,3) of the sector you are doing, the "badges per play" and the "number of plays" (your play speed).
We have generally estimated the total number of plays as 9, 22, 42 for (1, 2, or 3 phase sectors)
Example: For a 3 phase sector at 13 badges per play, the total badges needed would roughly be 13 * 42 = 546.
Again, you will have to adjust the total number of plays for your play speed. Our speediest player estimates their total number of plays as 8, 20, 35 (vs 9, 22, 42)

Of the three choices you list, the third one yields most badges per diamond, so it is the best of the three. To complicate matters further, the purchasing power has been reduced from previous events and those with medium difficulty actually had better purchasing power than those with hard.
    In previous medium difficulty event:
    40, 90, 160 diamonds netted 140, 300, 600 badges
    In previous hard difficulty event:
    40, 90, 200 diamonds netted 120, 250, 700 badges
    In current hard difficulty event:
    40, 90, 190 diamonds nets 120, 250, 650 badges
Occasionally they have a sale in hard event:
    190 diamonds nets 715 badges

Of course, as with all things Wooga, your numbers may vary.
And for players on Android using the APK exploit, everything is free. So free sounds like the best deal of all!

YW. I know you have had medium difficulty in the past but you are probably getting hard now. There are other factors/subtleties that make "hard" even more difficult versus "medium" than simply the total number of clues required being greater (430 total clues in hard vs 160 in medium):
1)Your purchasing power of how many badges you can buy is reduced in hard vs. medium for the same number of diamonds (from memory, I recall 90 diamonds buys 250 badges in hard but 300 badges in medium).
2)The difficulty (or number of plays) to complete a 3Phase sector is greater (roughly 40plays in hard vs 32 in medium).
3)The number of badges per play for any sector and each subsequent sector is also more in hard vs medium. (again from memory, referring to the badges per play for the first few sectors follows a sequence of ( (9,11,12,12,13...) for hard, ,vs (8,10,10,11,11...) for medium).
(all of the above numbers may be off, but the concepts behind each of the above are accurate)
