  I'm experiencing the same issue. It's *always* autumn/windy for me, and I can only ever farm potatoes and onions. Think this must be a bug but have no idea how to fix it.

  Spring: Wheat, Carrots, Broad beans
  Summer: Salad leaves, Broccoli, Peas
  Autumn: Potatoes, Onions, Spinach
  Winter: Cabbage, Cauliflower, Spinach

  Potatoes and salad leaves grow on different seasons. So does wheat. I also believe you will have more crops avsilable to grow at a higher level. You can find wild garlic, although I dont think you can grow it.
