I have the same issue!! It's really annoying! I'm not sure if it's all in my head or not but to me it seems like when a challenge calls for certain items and I put them together and they look absolutely ridiculous, it seems as if those ridiculous outfits get higher scores. It's really annoying lol

do you get to keep the face glitter decor?or is it a one time deal? i was looking to find a similar question and always wondered . I found the menu you were talking about, but are the things we are able to keep or are they a temporary feature ?
