UPDATE: I got a max level chain breaker, tried what I described above, and yes, that’s exactly what it’s for. Breaks the chains on items that come out of the supply boxes instead of having to break the chain with that specific item.

I also forgot to add that I always save up the xp things to continue merging to the maximum, so then I’ll get 50xp points at once for the maximum merge on those. That helps as well.
That’s funny you say that, I didn’t even know about the shop until like level 40 or something, so I missed out on a ton of free stuff and gems and all kinds of things up until then lol. And all kinds of parts I could have bought to upgrade. So the shop is definitely kind of hidden I feel like!!
But definitely with the daily change of items can be really useful for things you need, and the 2 free daily items are also a great bonus. The Daily free blue boxes can be merged as well. For those, level 1 has 12 items, so only spit out 11 items, then put in storage or corner or somewhere. Then the next day with the next free blue box, spit out 11 items. Then now merge those two blue boxes together. That box will be at level 2 now. Level 2 blue boxes spit out 18 items, so only spit out 17 items. Then put that one in storage or corner. Then repeat the next couple of days, then you can merge two level two boxes together to get to level 3 box (purple box now) which is the max, so then it will spit out a ton of items.
NOTE: these free blue boxes do NOT spit out parts for things needed for orders. They used to only spit out coins and gems, as of the update, they spit out the gold coins (previously gems) and then parts for the 3 new boosters (chain breaker, merge stone, and time skipper). But this is a GREAT way to build up the gold coins (previously gems) to THEN be able to buy the parts from the store that change daily, that are sometimes pieces for things such as the tool box, toy box, kitchen cabinets, etc. -

Also, check the shop daily because the items change daily. Sometimes there are toy box parts in the shop that you can buy with gems. Well, what used to be gems until todays update, now it’s gold coins instead of gems.

This is new from todays update. In my opinion, nearly pointless but whatever. If you go to settings in the top right corner, then click help and support, then at the bottom it says boosters, then there are 3 things which are all new from the update. Chain breakers, merge stone, and time skipper. You can click each one to learn more about it. This is the screen shot from the chain breaker one. Still doesn’t really explain what it is, but what I’m assuming it means is when you have a box item (like the kitchen supply box on your board right now) when you spit the items from the box, they come out with chains on them and you need that item to break the chain. So with this new chain breaker, you can use this to “break the chain” and free the item instead of needing to have that item spit out. I don’t have a chain breaker at max level yet so I haven’t been able to try it, but I’m 99.9% sure that’s what it means bc those are the only chains I have seen in the game, so there’s nothing else it could be for.

Wish I could send you my toolbox parts I have, I want to just delete them bc I really don’t need need anymore toolboxes because I have 3 active ones now, on levels 7, 6, and 5.
As for getting the parts, just keep working on leveling up (read the rest of my post for more info how I level up) and checking the store each day because occasionally there will be toolbox parts in there. So checking the store daily is crucial.
I am on level 52 now, and for a while now (as in for quite a few levels now), I don’t even fill any orders anymore. I’ve just been focusing on making more mixers and getting them to the max level, then making the cookie jars, then eventually turning into what used to be gem trees, but are now the gold coin palm trees. I really can’t stand this new update and that change, it’s too difficult to gage the cost for things in the gold now, as for when it was 1:1 with the gems. So idk how much longer I’ll play after this last update. I do the same with the toy chest and building the batteries for the energy. But anyways, so yes it is time consuming and slow to level up at this point without any new rooms, but slowly but surely you will level up and get the chests. I also suggest following what geomiah said below about only spitting out 7 items from each chest, putting in storage or in a corner or something, waiting for the next chest, then when you eventually level up again, only spit out 7 items from that chest, then combine the chests which is the max level. This will give you additional chances for the toolbox parts as you’re able to maximize the pieces that spit out and get way more items to spit out this way. Idk what level you’re on now, but yes it’s time consuming and EXTREMELYYYY slow to level up at this point for me. But each click is 1 xp point, so eventually you will level up this way. But it was pointless for me to keep filling orders, so that’s why I started focusing on the gem trees (now gold palm trees I guess?) l, main reason is so that any time there is something in the shop that I want, I’m able to purchase it without any worry on if I have enough gems or not.
Hope this helps some!!! -

jessica wickstrom commented on Mergedom: Home Design: Why all the damn toasters...
Yes, definitely sell them and just sell the parts immediately when you get them from the toolbox. That’s what I do anyway. I’m on level 52 and I have had toasters as an order only approximately 4 or 5 times so it’s very rare as an order. I have two that I keep blocked by other items so they don’t pop out toast when I don’t need it. And even if you get a toaster as a customer order, they are so easy to make that it doesn’t even matter. You’d even be fine with just one toaster if you need the room on your board, since a slice comes out every 10 mins and in 40 mins it will pop out 4 slices. I never wanted to sell anything that was at such a high level, but now I do without any hesitation and wish I would have started doing that sooner lol.

If you keep merging the plasma balls from the toy box, you can eventually make battery parts to start merging which will spit out energy. Keep merging the battery boxes to higher levels to spit out more energy more frequently.
In addition to that, each day in the shop you get a free box and another free item. More often then not the other free item is the lightning energy thing so that helps a little bit with some energy daily.
The other thing I do, is while I’m just chilling watching Netflix or eating or something I will play ad after ad, to get a big surplus of energy. If it says “please try again later” then spit around 10-15 pieces out of something and then it will usually let you play more ads in a row. I try to keep around 12,000 energy at all times by doing this so that when I want to play I have a huge surplus to play for a few days if I want to without watching any ads.

Soap is used for orders. Keep merging the soaps to get different levels of soap for different orders.

Tool boxes come from the brown chests you get from leveling up and sometimes from the shop. Shop items change daily. (Read other posts in this thread for tips and tricks and in particular the post from geomiah regarding brown chests for a helpful trick!)

Keep merging the cookies and empty jars to find out :). The stacked cooked are used for orders. The empty cookie jars are merged together to make gems. (First they turn into boxes with glass bottles in them, 2, 3, then 4 bottles. Two 4 bottle boxes makes a gem). The gems are then merged together to eventually make gem trees which gives you gems to buy things from the shop or to pay for the “skip” to get more items from something that is recharging. It’s quite a long process for the gem trees, but worth it!
Another tip: on the home screen when you open the game, click the book in the bottom right corner. It’s automatically on the tab for the rooms, but at the top there are different tabs so you can go through and see the max levels of things you’ve made by merging so far. Things you haven’t merged to that level yet will be empty with a little lock icon, indicating that you haven’t merged anything to that level yet. But it helps to give you an idea of just how many things you can merge and what you need to keep merging to make other items.
