OMG I finally figured it out! All you have to do is move one pinecone over under the first orange whirlpool, make sure the pinecones on the bottom left are in position over the blue whirlpool, remove one gem at a time under the first orange whirlpool (a match of three in a row will do that), and then the three other needed pinecones will fall into place. To get the pinecones into the basket, I just activate the cart on the bottom left, and that pushes the pinecone in the column under the first orange whirlpool one space over into the basket. I hope this makes sense.

Not yet. I've playing this level at lot too because I can't seem to figure it out and I want to do so. I've noticed gems move under the orange whirlpools before you break the ice directly under those whirlpools but not after except for the few times I can get one of those cart things to push some over. I find that weird. I have been able to move 2/4 needed pinecones over directly after the ice under the orange whirlpools are broken, and I can get both in the basket if I'm lucky. Mostly I only get one. I just need to learn how to move the pinecones, and then winning the level would be easy.
