Me too. There's a post on the game FB page that says they are aware a lot of people are having that problem.

I have two breweries and five crucibles. Each brewery makes my workers about 25 percent faster. And each crucible takes about 24 mins off build time. Also, the higher evolved people you put in them the better the bonus.
