Guessing that you're talking about the cashier getting stuck in game & not serving the customers > press top left 'pause' (looks like II), then unpause after a few seconds, game should come good.

Regularly click on the guard - same for the little girls on scooters. Don't bother trying to keep watching for them, just click on the guard regularly.
