Get a silver bug net from the store. Click on it and you'll see it in your hands. Walk near the bug and double-tap. Keep doing it until you catch one. You'll know when you do.

I also, have the mantis, but have yet to get the blue rose.

My bridge isn't buil and I've caught a few termites already. They are very small and orange. I've been finding them by the museum.
