Randall's Gobi: take a picture of a gobi 3 times to unlock
Spotted Mandarin dragonet: 10% chance opportunity to get the hidden fish (10 minutes after notification), when you exit the app, there is a probability that after 30 minutes the game will send you a notification with a phrase telling you to play the game and unlock the hidden fish. if you play within 10 minutes of the game sending you the notification you will have a chance of unlocking.

Do I double-click out of the game to get the hidden fish notification 30 minutes later, leave the game idle for 30 minutes, or can I minimize the game for 30 minutes?

For the record, the Spotted Mandarin Dragonet, which is unlocked for starting the app upon notification, needs a /specific/ notification to unlock. You will get an alert that "Now is the time to unlock the hidden fish" and will get the dragonet upon starting the game within 10 minutes of receiving the notification. It seems to trigger randomly. For people who are having trouble with that one.
